Trouble with Harry
On this day in history: Alfred Hitchcock's The Trouble With Harry has its world premiere at the Paramount Theatre in Barre in 1955! Hitchcock directed the film in Vermont, taking advantage of the fall foliage.
The first three images are the program from the premiere, which was sponsored by the State of Vermont Development Association, and featured Hitchcock and one of the film's stars, Shirley MacLaine. Dinner included Vermont apple cider, lobster, Vermont-grown salads, bread, and cheese.
