I visit ebay from time to time to see if there's any Craftsbury-related material to see. A recent visit brought me to this 1954 postcard of the Hearthside Inn, which is now Sterling's main building. There's a written message on the back that I found interesting…

… a couple of people I've spoken to have suggested that the writer mistook 'Pratt' for 'Clapp', meaning Henry Clapp, who was indeed a selectman. 'Mrs. Simpson, widow' was most certainly Miss Jean, who had never been married...we're wondering what the project was that Miss Jean was supporting 100%...
